Attorney Lauren McClain has practiced in the areas of adoption law, juvenile law and third party reproduction/artificial reproductive technology (ART) law for over a decade. Lauren is involved in facilitating and finalizing private, domestic, agency and international adoptions. As an adoption attorney, she has experience in interstate (ICPC) adoptions, family member adoptions, foster care, contested and international adoptions. Her practice includes work with adoptive families, adoption agencies and birth parents. Lauren works in the cutting edge area of artificial reproductive technology law (ART). She represents intended parents, gestational carriers (surrogates) and ovum donors (egg donors). She drafts and reviews agreements and helps parties navigate this confusing and constantly evolving legal process. Lauren represents parties in juvenile court as it relates to adoption, custody and artificial reproductive technology law issues. Lauren earned her Juris Doctorate (JD) from Indiana University College of Law, Bloomington, Indiana in 2005. She graduated magna cum laude from Purdue University in 2002. Lauren is an adoptive mother and enjoys spending her free time with her husband and four daughters. She is involved in her community and church. Lauren considers it a privilege to help families grow through adoption and surrogacy.
